APPLICATIONS

The CHEMCAD suite has been used for the following applications:-

  • GENERAL ENGINEERING
    Complex pipe networks with pump, compressor, turbine, control valve and relief device can be designed and analysed. CHEMCAD uses pressure nodes with a simultaneous modular algorithm to simulate pipe networks to give a quick solution.
  • SPECIALITY, FINE CHEMICALS & PHARMA APPLICTAIONS
    This is an area in which P & I Design has gained extensive expertise over many years. This includes the design of thermal fluid systems (-90°C to 200°C), stirred batch reactor facilities, gas absorption columns and general utility systems.
  • ENERGY & POWER
    CHEMCAD with its Excel® mapping feature provides a powerful tool for the design and performance assessment of steam generation and distribution systems.
  • PRE & POST COMBUSTION CARBON CAPTURE & STORAGE (CCS)
    The worldwide focus on clean power generation and carbon capture has increased the interest in Carbon Capture (CCS) technologies. CHEMCAD is being used extensively in this field.
